Choose Your Photos

The first step is choosing the right photos for your portrait. This step is the first and the most important because a portrait can only be as good as the reference images provided. The better the references, the better the portrait! I created this photo guide to help you find or take the very best pictures and begin the commissioning process with confidence.
Choose Medium and Size

The next step is selecting the medium and size for your portrait. I have many samples of my portraits in different mediums in my watercolor, graphite and colored pencil galleries, and a size selection guide to help you choose the best option.
Contact Me

Once you have gathered your images and chosen the size and medium you would like, the next step is to contact me with your requirements, any specific deadlines, and the references photos attached to the email. My waiting list is often several months long, but I can always provide an approximate time for your portrait immediately. While I always do my best to accommodate portraits for special occasions, it is not always possible, so I also offer a decorative card informing the gift recipient of the portrait-in-process and approximate due date.
Ordering and Payment

After we have discussed the portrait and time frame, and I have seen your photos, you are ready to place your order! First, please read my terms and conditions before paying a 30% non-refundable deposit to secure your space in my client waiting list. Once I begin your portrait, 50% of the remaining portrait balance is due, and once the portrait is completed to your satisfaction, the remaining balance is due before I send it to you. I accept PayPal and bank transfer.
